Considering that one of the functions of science education is to provide conditions so that citizens become able to recognize and use scientific and technological knowledge in the decisions to be made for the sake of your benefit and the society in which he lives, we believe that the school takes on a important role and should be mark out on two pillars regarding the promotion of science education: the scientific knowledge and their teaching methodologies.

Our starting question is how mobile learning can collaborate with the teaching of science? The aim of this study was to develop an application for mobile devices, to support science and biology teachers, on the Android platform, which offers information and interactive situations as a tool to support the teaching-learning process, with the ability to avoid mistakes concerning the nature of science, the daily scientific work and its actors.

The "Science in Your Hand" application is an educational product going to the Postgraduate Diploma in Science Teaching in Elementary Education from the University of Rio Grande Program (Unigranrio) as part of the requirements for obtaining the title of master.
